Born in Beirut in 1929, Dikran Daderian, is a non-figurative painter belonging to the new School of Paris. He spent his youth in Cyprus, before moving to France in 1953. During that period, he became friends with Vera de Silva, Hans Hartung, Fontana, Klein, Sartre, Aragon…

He studied in Cyprus, at the Melkonian Educational Institute, and in France, at the Goetz Academy School of Fine Arts as well as the Académie de la Grande Chaumière.

In 1957 Dikran started showcasing his work in several solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions. He was notably a participant of the “Salon Comparaisons”, the “Salons des réalités nouvelles” and the ” Salon de Mai”.

In 1978, the govenment bought a triptych painting he made for the town of Paris. He has also taught at the Goetz Academy before resuming painting in 1983. He lives in the 5th arrondissement in Paris and remains a prolific painter.

His paintings can be seen in several museums :
